A total of 1190 subjects who visited the department of oral medicine and radiology for diagnosis of various oral complaints over a period of 3 months were interviewed and clinically examined for oral mucosal lesions. WebCauses irritation and inflammation of the mucous membranes lining the mouth cavity. Symptoms include soreness, pain, redness, and swelling of the lips, tongue, face, and neck. Diagnosis is based on visual inspection and oral exam. Treatment may include antifungal medications such as fluconazole (Diflucan).
